Updates from the District 3 Town Hall Meeting
Denton City Council Representative for District 3, Mayor Pro Tem Paul Meltzer - Denton City Council, District 3, held a very informative town hall on Monday (9/23) at the North Lakes Rec Center. The purpose of the meeting was to share information regarding ongoing projects around Denton and answer questions from residents.
Trevor Crain, Director of Capital Projects for the City of Denton, gave a presentation and shared online tools available on the “Construction and Improvements” section of the City of Denton website for residents to search and use to learn more about completed, current, and planned projects in Denton. Capital Improvement Projects (CIP) Map is an interactive map that allows you to zoom in on street closures and projects around the city.
Major Infrastructure Projects Hub provides information on major city projects, including their scope, timeline, and important updates.
Council members Brandon Chase McGee (At large Place 5) and Brian Beck (District 2) were also in attendance and, along with Council member Meltzer, fielded several questions from the audience on a variety of topics including tax rates, zoning, and the recent Design Downtown Denton Plan.
