Hello, neighbors!
February’s NLPG meeting was wonderful! Attendance topped at 56 people, including several current and prospective city council members and many North Lakes neighbors.
We heard from Mayor Hudspeth on city planning and processes.

NLPG Neighbor Lauren Penn presented insightful information on street safety for our neighborhood. Access those slides here, and stay tuned for more information as Lauren continues to head up this important issue.
According to Denton Planning and Zoning, the proposal for Project S22-0010 currently has the status of “closed.” Investcor continues to seek a buyer for the 15-acres of land bordering North Lakes Park and the North Lakes neighborhood along Parkside and Amherst drives. Any multi-family options would require a specific use permit, which the neighborhood has overwhelmingly opposed.
Andrea presented on the NLPG Adopt-a-spot initiative, a spring neighborhood yard sale, and several opportunities for folks to sign up for committees they are interested in to further the work of the neighborhood.
