Overwhelming Opposition to S22-0010

After much consideration and discussion, the North Lakes community has opted to continue its opposition to the Specific Use Permit (SUP) application #S22-0010 filed by Investcor / Denton Capital LLC.

At our most recent NLPG monthly meeting (11/7), we discussed:

  • Information regarding the developer’s plans and desire to work with the neighborhood to pursue the SUP

  • Details on potential uses of the this property as currently zoned (suburban corridor) vs. those which would require a SUP

  • Insight from a commercial real estate lender on the pros and cons of development for this particular 15 acres

Following the meeting, we distributed meeting notes to the community and requested feedback by Friday Nov 15, 2024 on whether to support or oppose S22-0010.

More than 98% of residents surveyed DO NOT support a specific use permit required for the proposed multi-family development of this property.

Community members understand that Investcor / Denton Capital LLC must now decide how to proceed, including the possibility of developing the land under its current zoning or selling it.
