NLPG Meeting Update
Our November NLPG meeting took place last Thursday at the North Lakes Rec Center.
In addition to group updates, we presented information regarding the status of the multi-family apartment proposal ( S22-0010) and the developer’s impending decision to (a) move forward with the project or (b) sell the land.
The developer has requested that we share the community’s consensus about whether or not we will support their request to change the zoning of the 15 acres bordering the North Lakes neighborhood and North Lakes Park from “suburban corridor” to “specific use permit” in order to allow a multi-family apartment complex.
We have already collected feedback from a large number of community residents. As we are committed to ensuring that our neighbors are aware of the finer aspects of this project, the developer’s goals, and the perspectives of community members, please view Thursday’s meeting presentation here. Learn about the vibrant discussion we had about alternative possibilities for this land, allowed uses for suburban corridor, and a Q&A with a local commercial real estate lender.
If you have NOT already shared your views about whether or not the North Lakes neighborhood should/not support this project, please do so on this form, via email, or via Facebook by Friday 11/15/24.
Please reach out with any questions. Thank you!
